Thank you for sharing this link. In looking at the three years there is a big jump in income from 2008 to 2009. But there are also building expenses in 2009. Is there a center? Can anyone go to it?
What about the tithing from Maine? Is there another name it may be filed under? Where does the Maine money go?
I really like your questions ExCommunity. I hope someone can and will answer them rather than just peeping the board and saying nothing.... as usual. No accountability, nothing to say for themselves. If they can't attack us or what we say, they have nothing to say, or so it would seem.
Well I Google Mapped the address given and it's someone home in what looks like a pretty nice neighborhood. I have yet to find any actual center though. This is who they were before: Kahal Kaddsh Shoresh Yishai Holy Congreation of the Root of Jesse http://nccsdataweb.urban.org/orgs/profile/112448666?popup=1
This is a very inteesting link. It actually means that someone fillied out something that caught the IRS attention in 1981. However, in those days we did not have internet. I still believe that after J & G went on their 13 year vacation road trip, and all of the Long Island property and estate were sold, that monies had to be given to them to support their lifestyle.
Is it something that we will find on an old tax returnfrom 1981-1996? Is it on a Maine or Colorado tax return?
Will we see their names listed as employees of Kahal Kaddsh with salaries. Expense reports?
I am sure that there are many lurkers on your board who may have the answers. If you do, why not share it, if it is indeed public information.
Why are people still afraid to really answer hard questions?
Maine members tithe to UMI (Unifying Meditation Institute) as well as NERT (still). UMI was new as of last year-- it replaced the old "Shoresh Yishai." Many Maine families are no longer tithing OR they are now tithing to bonified charities such as the Salvation Army. This allows the families to forfill their obligation as outlined in Torah, but NOT pad the pockets of G etc. (or continue the building ridiculousness of the doomsday compounds).
The annual Family meeting is scheduled for January 14th (leadership) and January 15th (all Family members) at the South Portland Hampton Inn (Jetport Hotel location. Come one, come all! LOL! I believe it's from 10-2pm or something like that.
Prina: I have a ton of lessons/teachings that I would be willing to mail to you if you have a mailing address you feel comfortable sharing. You can email me.
There are federal laws and statutes in place to prevent people from using fake non-for-prophets as a way to launder money. Since 9/11 these laws have only become more strict do the the Patriot Act. There are also statutes of limitation on crimes of money laundering and/or fraud. Most of these I be-leave (don't quote me) are 5 years.
If they changed Kahal Kaddsh Shoresh Yisha, to Unifying Meditation Institute, there will have been legal documents and a paper trail. If Shoresh Yisha, was abolished all together, the people who ran it will still be responsible for any crimes or fraud committed until the statute runs out.
Individuals have a right to inquire about a non-for-prophets income and spending, and can request a yearly audit. Has This ever been done and if not then why not? I do not know. (I'm going to take a guess that it hasn't) But it should be done regardless, and if there is nothing to hide and all is righteous then the people running the "family" should have no problem with doing so. After all, if everything is as it should be, then it would only strengthen their position and make us look foolish. Right?
The first step would be for us to look up the federal laws surrounding non-for-prophets (dating back to the 70's to present) and look up said laws for the states on Maine, Colorado and New York.
The better informed we are the better argument we can present when the time comes. If anyone has already started researching this, then please let me know and catch me up to speed so I don't wast my time, otherwise I will get to work on this.
Concerning requesting an audit: start with kahal kaddish.. whatever. That was the front for Shoresh Yishai for many years. It's registered as a non-profit religious organization.
It's registered under: KAHAL KADDSH SHORESH YISHAI HOLY CONGREATION OF THE ROOT OF JESSE N Massapequa, NY
Its probably spelled wrong on purpose so people can't request it easily!

Where are the tax returns before 2007?

this is the link again to the irs information:http://www.taxexemptworld.com/organization.asp?tn=188040
ReplyDeleteYou would be most interested in monies paid from the years 1981 to 2004.
ReplyDeleteThen you would have to look into UMI, founded in 2007. This is their website information:
